Taranaki is located on the left 'pointy bit' of New Zealand's North Island. It's halfway between Auckland and Wellington.

Taranaki is a 30 minute flight from either Auckland or Wellington, or 4 hours by car.
This region is still fairly undiscovered
by tourism which means no masses of
